The Touhou project is a series of bullet hell games made by 1 person, it is known for being quite hard even on easy mode and has gotten very popular.
It has few enemies that spew millions of bullets.
Bullet Heaven 2
Bullet Heaven 2 (it's name is a play on the bullet hell genre name) is a higher quality sequel to Bullet Heaven 1. It has waves of enemies that shoot a few bullets followed by bosses that can come close to Touhou level of bullet numbers.
